This venture ranks as Clasecuador's most recent venture. Alimec is the result of a merger of three prominent businesses in the national food industry. McCormick (manufacturer of US spice brand under licensee agreement), Miraflores (a popular dairy product brand) and Zanzibar (ice cream manufacturer) merged to form Alimec, a food conglomerate that seeks to build on a well established national distribution and expand into foreign markets.

In addition, Alimec has also broadened its product portfolio to include national distribution of imported food products from Chile. The Chilean industry enjoys a much warranted reputation for superb quality and affordable prices, features which make the Watt's and Lucchetti brands a sure success.
